For context, agencies in our space typically charge $150–$300/hr for senior strategy and creative work. Our rates reflect the specialized powersports and lifestyle brand expertise we bring — you won't need to educate us on your market.

Option D: Product Build + Revenue Share

We build the revenue-generating platform. We fund the work. We run the operations. You bring the brand and the audience. In exchange, 8FB receives an ongoing percentage of net revenue generated through the platforms and products we create.

This is the same model used by CPG accelerators, DTC brand builders, and product studios across the industry. When the studio is funding 100% of the build and ongoing operations, the revenue share reflects that investment.

Technology Licensing

Eight Foot Brands owns proprietary technology, tools, frameworks, and processes deployed as part of every product build — including e-commerce infrastructure, marketing automation, analytics platforms, content management, and digital product delivery systems.

  • Royalty-free license to use all 8FB technology deployed to your platform for the duration of the agreement
  • 8FB retains ownership of all technology, tools, and systems IP
  • License is specific to your brand — cannot be sublicensed or transferred
  • Buyout option: Purchase a perpetual, transferable license at any time. Typical range: $15,000–$50,000 depending on scope

Same IP structure as our venture studio model — 8FB technology stays with 8FB, brand gets full use, with a clean path to ownership.

Why these percentages: 8FB is funding the entire build — design, development, launch, and ongoing operations. In the CPG and DTC space, studios and accelerators that fund 100% of the work typically take 20–35% of revenue. For comparison, Amazon takes 15% just for listing your product — and they don't build your store, brand, or marketing.

How Rev Share Is Calculated

  • 1. "Net revenue" = gross sales minus returns, shipping, sales tax, payment processing fees, and marketplace commissions
  • 2. Rev share applies only to revenue flowing through infrastructure 8FB built — existing sales channels are excluded
  • 3. Paid quarterly, within 30 days of quarter end, with a transparent revenue report
  • 4. 8FB has audit rights once per year to verify reporting

Terms & Protections

Revenue Cap

Payments capped at 4x the equivalent full project price. Once reached, rev share drops to zero and you own the platform outright.

Buyout Option

Buy out the remaining rev share at any time: remaining months × trailing 3-month avg payment × 0.75. Technology license buyout is separate.

Minimum Performance

If the platform generates less than $1,000/month after 6 months, either party can renegotiate or convert to a flat maintenance fee.

Ongoing Support

Monthly performance reviews + up to 8 hours/month of optimization, maintenance, and operational support at no additional cost.

Example Scenario

We build a full Shopify store + email marketing + SEO + ongoing optimization. Upfront cost: $2,500 (vs. ~$22,000 at full price). Rev share: 20% of net online sales for 24 months.

If the store generates $12,000/month in net revenue, that's $2,400/month to 8FB — and we're actively building, running, and optimizing it every month. The rev share caps at $88,000 (4x the $22,000 full price).

At any point, you can buy out the remaining rev share and the technology license to own everything outright.
